ASHLAND STRAWBERRY FAIRE NONPROFIT REGULATIONS

1. All applicants will be reviewed and approved by the
Strawberry Fair Committee. Deadline for applications
and $60.00 entry fee is April 15th. Spaces will be
reserved on a first come, first serve basis. If any
application is not accepted, the club or organization
will be promptly notified and entry fee will be
refunded.

2. The committee cannot prevent duplication of
activities. The large attendance predicted will
compensate for duplicated foods or activities.

3. Groups from Hanover County will be given concession
booth priority before groups from elsewhere.

4. Nonprofit groups working with commercial vendors,
donating profits to the group are permitted.

5. Booth locations shall be determined by the
Committee.

6. Organizations must provide their own tents, tables,
etc., necessary for their booths activities.

7. Health permits will be required for the sale of
foods. Please call the health department at 365-4343
for a temporary permit application. All applications
must be submitted to the Health Department 14
working days prior to the Faire.

8. Autos or trucks will not be permitted on any area
of the Faire grounds during the Faire hours of 10 am
to 5 pm.91. Each booth will be issued one pass to park a
vehicle in the participant's reserved parking areas.

9. To facilitate trash cleanup, each group shall
delegate one person to be responsible for periodic
policing of the grounds during and after the Faire
hours. Groups will be responsible for providing their
own trash cans. Take your trash to the town dumpsters
throughout the day.

10. Building permits for booths are not required.
however, each group shall be responsible for the
removal of any structure built by the organization for
Faire purposes.

11. No carnival rides will be allowed on the Faire
site.

12. Riding bikes or skateboards on the Faire site will
be prohibited.

13. All suggestions or recommendations about the Faire
must be submitted in writing.

14. Organizations selling crafts are discouraged.

15. Booths selling strawberry food are highly
recommended.

16. Cash awards will be given to the booth selling the
best strawberry food at the Faire. First will receive $75.00,
second $50.00, and third $25.00.
